Series 6 contains reports created or received by the URA regarding economic development initiatives. In general, the reports reflect the priorities of the URA’s Economic Development Department, established in 1981 to assist local business and to encourage economic growth. Examples of topics covered in the reports include business development, neighborhood revitalization, public-private partnerships, tax reform, and promotional material about living and working in Pittsburgh, including a VHS tape and brochure from the Greater Pittsburgh Office of Promotion entitled “Five Pittsburghs: Discoveries by Some Recent Settlers” (1991).
