Subseries 4 contains copies of maps and plans from a variety of libraries and archives that were compiled to support the Commission’s work. Many of the maps show the locations of both Fort Pitt and Fort Duquesne superimposed on maps of 1942 Pittsburgh, while other maps show the environs of Pennsylvania and surrounding states as it relates to the history of the forts.
